Job summary

AGE Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Design Drafter to support a federal telecom modernization project in Washington, DC. You will develop and maintain detailed drawings in AutoCAD and Visio, translating survey data into accurate design packages for secure government facilities.

Ideal candidates will hold an active Top Secret clearance and be able to work onsite full-time in Washington, DC, documenting existing infrastructure and coordinating with engineers and field

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for telecom drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Visio for telecom diagrams.
• Strong Excel skills for schedules and tracking.
• Experience with telecom infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain telecommunications drawings and design packages using AutoCAD and Visio.
• Create and revise floor plans, telecommunications layouts, pathway drawings, conduit plans, rack elevations, cable routing diagrams, network diagrams, and infrastructure details.
• Translate field notes, survey forms, sketches, redlines, photos, pathway data, and legacy records into accurate drawings.
• Document existing infrastructure including building entrances, MDFs, IDFs, backbone routes, risers, and cable pathways.
• Support the development of proposed telecommunications infrastructure designs for fiber backbone, copper cabling, pathways, MDF/IDF layouts, and equipment placement.
• Produce detailed as-built drawings and construction-ready documentation for implementation.
• Read and interpret architectural, engineering, and telecom drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
