Job summary

Optomi is seeking a Telecom Data Network Engineer to support network infrastructure across the Midwest. The role involves implementing network solutions and configuring Cisco devices, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and network automation.

The ideal candidate will work within a team-centric Agile engineering environment and must have solid experience in routing, switching, and wireless technologies. Preferred certifications include CCNA and CCNP.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 technologies, including IPv4 subnetting, VLANs, Dot1q trunks, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), OSPF, and BGP.
• Good working knowledge of copper and fiber standards and associated connector types.

Responsibilities

• Implement, test, and document standard network solutions across remote field facilities and corporate office locations.
• Configure Cisco routers and switches in alignment with enterprise architecture templates.
• Procure, provision, and troubleshoot both public and private WAN circuits.
