Job summary

Ansco & Associates, LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a Construction Supervisor to direct and coordinate field crews in telecommunications and utility construction, ensuring projects meet contract specifications. You will supervise subcontractors, manage safety and quality, and maintain daily production records.

The role requires at least 3+ years in telecom/utility construction, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and handle heavy materials.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States for the company.
• 3+ years of experience in Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
• Ability to operate utility trucks and equipment safely.
• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Effective communication with customers and employees.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and supervise employees and subcontractors in cable placement/repair per contract and specifications.
• Ensure safety, quality and production goals according to company rules and standards.
• Maintain daily production sheets and other reporting.
• Inspect trucks/equipment for defects.
• Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers.
• Resolve complaints.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Maintain positive working relationships internally and externally.

What You’ll Do

• Direct, coordinate and supervise, dispatch, train, inspect, and monitor employees and subcontractors in the correct placement/repair of cable and restorations ensuring results are according to contract and process specifications
• Ensure employees meet all safety, quality, and production goals according to rules, regulations, and standards set by company
• Maintain daily production sheets and other reporting
• Inspect trucks/equipment for defects
• Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers
• Resolve complaints
• Performs other duties as necessary
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally

What You’ll Need

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company
• 3+ years of experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc), Google applications, and/or other construction related software applications
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Able to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
