Job summary

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a Telecom Construction Supervisor to oversee project operations, assign daily tasks, track materials, and ensure safety and quality control on site. You will manage on-site personnel, maintain records, and resolve issues to meet all specifications.

The role requires strong project management skills, OSHA knowledge, and 3+ years in telecom. Candidates must be capable of operating utility trucks and equipment safely and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong project management skills and safety mindset.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operations to ensure construction work meets customer and industry specifications and crews are safe and productive.
• Provide on-the-job training on construction practices to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Assign daily production to in-house and subcontract laborers and crews.
• Requisition, assign and track materials needed for daily operations.
• Perform audits of construction operations to ensure compliance with project specs and safety standards.
• Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel work.
• Review daily production reports and material usage for accurate billing and records.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise all operations to ensure that all construction operations are completed in accordance with customer andindustry specifications. This includes ensuring that all employees working on projects are working safely and productively.
• Provide employees working under your direction "On the Job Training" such as; construction practices and methods to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Assign daily production to in-house and subcontract laborers and crews.
• Requisition, assign and track materials needed for the daily operations.
• Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
• Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where our personnel are working.
• Review daily production reports, material usage sheets, keep track of work hours, complete and maintain accurate"as-built maps" for areas built.
• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
• Verify submitted Daily Production Reports for accuracy and approve recorded production for billing purposes.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have at least 3 years of experience in the telecommunications industry
• Strong project management skills
• Good understanding of OSHA requirements and a priority for safety Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
• Knowledge of and ability to hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
