Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Laborer in Romney, WV to support the crew in construction and telecommunications projects across West Virginia. You will perform various manual tasks, assist in trenching, concrete work, and installation of telecommunication fixtures, while maintaining safety and efficient workflow.

The role requires working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental practices, plus a valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of construction/telecommunications experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices.
• Electrical experience is an asset.
• Criminal background check and pre-access drug/alcohol screenings required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual labor such as shovel / broom work, hand digging, pulling and removing material, job site clean-up and various other tasks.
• Keeps crew vehicles clean and conducts regular vehicle maintenance checks and associated paperwork.
• Assists in trenching work, concrete work, building fences, and mini-excavator work.
• Reads underground utility locates and ensures safe digging practices are always being adhered to.
• Assists in installing telecommunication fixtures, handling cables, conduits and other materials.
