Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a hands-on Construction Technician to support underground telecommunications infrastructure projects. The role involves manual digging, equipment operation, and installation of underground cabling, under supervision from foremen and supervisors.

The position requires travel to out-of-town assignments, strong communication with customers and crew, and adherence to safety protocols on diverse outdoor worksites.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general construction tasks under supervision.
• Comfort with outdoor work in various environments.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor.
• Hand dig holes and trenches with a shovel and other hand tools.
• Basic knowledge of underground cable locating.
• Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment.
• Responsible for transporting equipment and materials.
• Install underground telecommunications cabling.
• Flagging traffic, setup safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
• Performs daily walkarounds and alerts mechanics of any defects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
