Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction is seeking a Foreman of Telecom Aerial Equipment to lead a crew responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom infrastructure across Southwest Alabama and West Southwest Florida. You will read blueprints, coordinate daily tasks, operate bucket trucks and lifts, and enforce safety regulations while managing schedule and quality.

The role requires 5 years of equipment operation and supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and a valid

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• 5 years of experience operating and maintaining aerial telecom equipment and supervising crews.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver's license with at least two years of driving experience and clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of telecom laborers and aerial equipment operators to complete fiber optic and telecom line installation, repair, and maintenance
• Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Operate aerial equipment such as bucket trucks, pole climbers, and lifts as needed for complex or priority tasks
• Read and apply blueprints, specifications, and job plans to ensure accurate aerial telecom installation
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations for working at heights
• Inspect job sites for hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe work environment
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and progress to supervisors and stakeholders
• Oversee site restoration by ensuring proper cleanup and secure installation of telecom lines and equipment
• Resolve issues related to aerial telecom installation, utility conflicts, or equipment operation in real-time
• Train and mentor team members to enhance skills and job performance
