Job summary

Palomar Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician for night shift in our 5E Cardiovascular Acute department. You will record and interpret ECG tracings and monitor cardiac rhythms to support diagnostic processes.

You will perform clerical tasks as needed and contribute to a smooth, patient-focused workflow in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or combination of education and experience.
• Completion of Basic Dysrythmia or EKG course from accredited program.
• American Heart Association BLS - Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Records and calculates all necessary parameters and interprets ECG tracings for diagnostic purposes; monitors and integrates cardiac rhythms.
• Performs clerical duties as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Department: 5E Cardiovascular Acute Union: CHEU Shift: 12-hour Shift - Night (United States of America) Hours Per Pay Period: 72 Job Description: Posting Date: 8/04/2026 Internal Closing Date: 8/10/26 * Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights. Pay range: $23.00 - $32.54 Records and calculates all necessary parameters and interprets ECG tracings for diagnostic purposes; monitors and integrates cardiac rhythms. Performs clerical duties as needed. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience

Successful completion of PPH administered EKG test
