Telemetry RN Job Details – Salem, MA

• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Registered Nurse Contract)
• Location: Salem, MA 01970 – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (October 5, 2025 – January 3, 2026)
• Setting: Float Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry Units
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights; every other weekend)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: Days/Evenings up to 5:1; Nights up to 6:1
• Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License (Registered Nurse)
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience (Telemetry nursing experience required)
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and interpreting telemetry strips
• TR Band experience preferred
• Ability to float between 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units
• Completion of required onboarding exams and health clearances

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Float throughout the hospital to all Med/Surg Telemetry areas (including Davenport 5, 7, 8, 9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, & Overflow)
• Perform cardiac monitoring, measure intervals, and interpret telemetry strips every 4 hours
• Administer and manage cardiac drips for telemetry patients
• Provide care for ED border patients, medication nurse duties in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
