Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking Part-Time SEE Tutors to reinforce classroom concepts and meet with students to clarify and review TEKS-aligned content. You will provide learning activities, conduct quick checks, and help students improve study methods while following district policies. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, a Texas teaching certificate, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; current or valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• One year student teaching or approved internship; strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-specific content to help students accomplish educational goals.
• Use the TEKS as the instructional objectives to plan tutoring sessions.
• Present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA and district policies.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting students' learning styles and needs.
• Provide formative and summative assessment of student achievement and use results to plan activities.
• Work with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
