Experience the Indy Child Therapist Difference!

This would be a good fit for you if you love working with tweens and teens and all the unique issues they present with. Additionally, you must be comfortable working with clients with self harm and suicidal behaviors . Looking for someone who really loves & connects well with this population.

One of the things you will notice right away is our team’s commitment to EXCELLENT client care. The second thing you will notice is our dedication to ensuring we have a pleasant and welcoming environment- for our staff as well as clients! We are a fun and collaborative group of practitioners who love kids and teens! While the pay is good and there are benefits the less tangible benefits include:

  • Making your own schedule
  • Typically working less than you would at a CMHC
  • Seeing the type of clients you want to see
  • Minimal “busy work” and meetings
  • Highly engaged parents and clients
  • Quarterly Staff Outings
  • Focus on positive work-life balance
  • NO productivity standard
  • NO micro-managing
  • Access to a full library of therapy books, games, and other supplies

We don’t hire just anyone and truly want the best! It is important that all of our staff are committed to our mission, vision, and values. If you can say yes to the following, we’d love to talk:

  • Want to work in a collegial and family like environment
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all you do

x Struggle to engage with clients

x Are not committed to growth and development

x Struggle to engage with and utilize peer support

x Are unreceptive to feedback

x Want to open your own private practice

Employer Provided Benefits Include:

  • Health Reimbursement Account

  • 401K
  • Flexible Schedule

Questions you might have:

What is the “flexible schedule”?

We allow our clinicians to make their own schedule and allow for flexing of your time as needed to do life well. Our full time clinicians work 30-40 hours which is 24-30 client sessions/week with 15 minutes of administrative time per clinical hour. As we see kids, a minimum of 8 sessions per week outside of school hours is required.

How do you pay & what is the salary?

This is part of that flexible schedule. YOU determine your salary based on how many clients you want to see per week. Generally, our full time employee’s range from $55,000-75,000. We pay commissions monthly with a mid-month advance payment. We do NOT have a productivity standard, but you do need to meet legal full time status to qualify for benefits.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Self directed, motivated, hard working, and reliable
  • Passionate about working with children and their families
  • Skilled in applying best practice theory and technique in counseling sessions
  • Excellent at building rapport with clients
