Job summary

Evolve Treatment Centers is seeking a passionate Residential Counselor to join our teen-focused team at one of our six-bed residential centers. This role provides supervision for up to six adolescents in 30- to 60-day treatment periods, supporting daily activities and leading groups.

The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and able to maintain professional boundaries while engaging teens facing mental health and substance use challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• All schedules require working at least 1 weekend shift.
• Preferred: experience working with teens.
• Preferred: experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support and supervision to clients facing mental health and substance use challenges.
• Build positive relationships within professional boundaries in line with policies.
• Monitor client safety and activities throughout shifts.
• Facilitate activities and groups such as psycho-education and recreation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of shift activities.
• Assist with meals and life skills like laundry, dishes, and bed making.
• Respond to crises using established interventions when needed.
• Demonstrate professional, compassionate behavior.
