Job summary

Morton Public Library in Morton, IL is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and organized individual to plan and run programs for grades 7-12 while providing readers' advisory services and outstanding customer service at the Check Out and Information Desks.

This is a full-time position that collaborates with the Children’s Librarian, Youth Services Outreach Coordinator, and Adult Services Coordinator; duties include collection development of young adult materials, coordinating teen volunteers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; education and/or library science courses preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run programs for grades 7-12 and provide readers' advisory services.
• Provide excellent customer service at the Checkout and Information Desks.
• Develop YA materials and plan a monthly teen newsletter.
• Coordinate teen volunteers and collaborate with library staff.
