Job summary

Spark Academy, part of The Heritage Community in Provo, UT, seeks dynamic life coaches to support adolescents with neurodiversity in a residential setting. You will mentor students, help them set goals, and build life skills through one-on-one and group activities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in treatment planning, and foster a safe, engaging environment to promote growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor adolescents.
• Assertiveness to learn about neurodiversity and mental health.
• Good energy and ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Engaging and empathetic character with tenacity and determination.
• Good problem-solving, decisiveness, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in communication and interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with the students on your home, coaching them in their treatment progression.
• Be a leader and an example to reliably intercede and mediate conflicts when a student needs support and guidance.
• Implement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team and ensure team members understand expectations.
• Participate in a wide variety of activities with students, encouraging them to develop skills through sports, hobbies, and leisure activities.
• Assist the Home Manager in leadership duties, training Coaches, handling shift operations, and ensuring program components are applied with high quality.
• Attend weekly Treatment Team meetings to report on therapeutic progression and work with Therapists to set goals for each student.
