YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking a part-time Teen Coordinator to design, plan, and run enrichment programs for teens ages 13–17. You will lead Leaders Club, Y Achievers, Teen Entrepreneurship, and service-learning projects under the Program Director, creating leadership opportunities and family partnerships.

As a Teen Coordinator at the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, you will play a leadership role in designing, planning, and implementing high-quality enrichment and engagement programs for teens ages 13–17. Under the direction of the Program Director, you will create opportunities for leadership development, service learning, social activities, and personal growth for teens. You will also collaborate with families, schools, and community partners to ensure positive outcomes and build a strong support system for teens in our programs.
Accountable for achieving assigned organizational and youth development goals as measured through program quality, safety and compliance outcomes, accreditation readiness, cause-driven measures, operating results, participant and team member experience, and supervisor evaluation. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory performance and successful completion and maintenance of applicable position requirements, which may include background screening, driver's license review, CPS screening, drug and/or alcohol testing, or other screenings as required by the position or applicable law.
This position operates in indoor and outdoor YMCA facility, program, and community-based environments and regularly interacts with team members, leaders, members, program participants, families, and other stakeholders. The role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, lifting, and other physical activity associated with program and facility operations. The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds, remain standing or seated for extended periods, maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks, and physically complete required job-related certifications. The role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including wet, cold, and humid environments, as well as cleaning supplies and other materials commonly used within YMCA facilities. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are required based on program and organizational needs. Wage Range: $15.00 - $16.00
The hourly range provided reflects the YMCA of South Hampton Roads’ good-faith determination of the minimum and maximum starting hourly for this position.
