The Animal Hospital of Roxbury in Ledgewood, NJ is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team. You will assist with exams, anesthesia, radiographs, and dental procedures, while maintaining accurate records and supporting routine operations.

This full-time role offers a 4-day work week, no weekend or on-call requirements, and opportunities for training and advancement. We require at least 2+ years of veterinary technician experience; CVT is desirable but not mandatory.

Formación

• CVT desirable but not required, with hands-on veterinary tech experience.
• Minimum of 2+ years as a veterinary technician in clinical settings.
• Good knowledge of standard tools and equipment used in clinics.

Responsabilidades

• Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures and surgeries.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Clean, sanitize, restock supplies and support daily clinic operations.
• Handle late-night shifts as needed; no weekends required beyond planned nights.

We are looking for an experienced technician to join our team. The right candidate must have veterinary experience and possess the skills and qualifications listed below. You'll enjoy a 4-day work week and NO weekends or on-call! We do require at least 1 late night (8:00pm).

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) desirable, but not required
• 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and track record of being reliable
• Possess flexibility, positivity, and a “can-do” attitude in a busy environment
• Able to restrain larger pets when necessary
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Proficient use of computers

The right candidate is a team player who is willing to teach others as well as learn new skills. Must contribute to the team’s daily function by cleaning/sanitizing, restocking supplies, answering phone calls, and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position. Our office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30am-6pm and Monday, Thursday 8:30am-8:00pm. Compensation will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
