Job summary

ECOSMART PEST SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking a Pest Control Technician in the Tampa Bay area. You will establish effective relationships with customers, identify pest problems, and document service by using handheld equipment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, driving a company vehicle, being on-call as needed, and meeting state licensing requirements. This position involves field work in varied environments and travel within the Tampa region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years work or military experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings for signs of infestation
• Determine pest types and best treatment options
• Measure room sizes to be treated
• Create and present bids with estimated costs
• Implement pest control methods to treat areas
• Safely apply pesticides

What is expected of you

• Use handheld computerized equipment to manage service and document structural, sanitation and pest issues.
• This position is classified as heavy work

Position Details

• Candidate must reside in: Tampa, or surrounding area
• Route territory will include: Tampa, and surrounding area
• Work week and shift: Mon-Sat - (7 am - 5:30 pm).

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years work or military experience
• Valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record, and drive and maintain a company vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to be on-call during off work hours and weekends as necessary
• Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Physical Demands

• Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 50 pounds (25 kilograms) chest high.
• Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations, freezing conditions and hot conditions. And long drives to accounts.
• Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear.
• Must be capable of wearing a respirator
• Possess or able to obtain required pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to country or state/local law
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen and physical exam upon request.
• Driving long distances to cover jobs or quotes added to your routes
• Daily cleaning of vehicles and weekly washing and equipment maintenance.

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, including standing for extended periods, crawling in small spaces, and lifting heavy objects
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols when dealing with potentially hazardous materials
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to maintain detailed records of payment and chemicals used
