Job summary

Rycon Mechanical in New York seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in commercial settings.

You must have EPA certification, at least 5 years in HVAC service, and a team-player mindset with independent work ability. Compensation based on experience ranges from $30 to $65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Past experience as HVAC service technician for min 5 years.
• Valid Driver's License (Clean).
• OSHA 30 & SST Certification.
• FDNY G60 & F60.
• EPA Certification.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift 40 pounds.
• Certification for working on Mitsubishi, Daikin, Aaon, LG & other manufactures a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup and commissioning of new systems incl RTU, VRF, splits, WSHP, DOAS, ERV.
• Repair or service HVAC systems to improve efficiency (filters, ducts, refrigerants).
• Troubleshoot various equipment.
• Diagnose problems and performance issues with equipment.
• Work closely with manufacturers and tech support.
• Establish customer rapport to ensure high satisfaction.
• Test joints for leaks with pressure gauge or soapy solution.
• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
