Job summary

Shine of Westlake and Downtown Austin is seeking a hardworking Field Service Technician to join our team. You will perform residential and commercial window cleaning, pressure washing, and holiday lighting installations, with training provided.

Starting pay is $18/hour for the first 3 months, then a commission-based pay structure with the opportunity to earn more based on performance. You must be comfortable working at heights, outdoors in Texas weather, and ready to travel to job sites using

Responsibilities

• Safely work on ladders, rooftops, and elevated areas.
• Properly use and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Work efficiently with team members to complete jobs on schedule.
• Provide professional, friendly service to customers.

About the Position

Shine is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team! We specialize in professional window cleaning, pressure washing, and holiday lighting installations.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, learns quickly, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Previous experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and a great attitude.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial window cleaning.
• Pressure wash driveways, patios, buildings, and other exterior surfaces.
• Install, maintain, and remove Christmas lights and holiday decorations.
• Safely work on ladders, rooftops, and elevated areas.
• Properly use and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
• Work efficiently with team members to complete jobs on schedule.
• Provide professional, friendly service to customers.

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and rooftops.
• Must be able to work outdoors in Texas weather, including summer heat and colder winter temperatures.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from our shop.
• Must be available to meet at the shop by 7:30 AM daily, with earlier start times during November for Christmas light installations.
• Must be hardworking, dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Must be a quick learner who can follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Must be physically capable of performing labor-intensive outdoor work.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with others.
• Must be detail-oriented and take pride in doing quality work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous window cleaning or pressure washing experience.
• Experience installing Christmas lights or working on roofs.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Experience using ladders, pressure washing equipment, or other exterior cleaning tools.

Experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• First 3 months: $18 per hour during the training period.
• After 3 months: Transition to a commission-based pay structure, providing the opportunity to earn more based on job performance and productivity.

Schedule

Our crews meet at the shop at 7:30 AM before heading to job sites. During the busy Christmas lighting season, particularly in November, earlier start times will be required.
