VMS Security Services in Farmingville, NY is seeking an Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential and commercial alarm systems to keep clients safe.

You’ll diagnose issues, replace faulty components, perform preventive maintenance, and educate customers on system operation. A strong work ethic and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or servicing alarm, fire, or security systems.
• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and control panels.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

About the Role

VMS Security Services is looking for a skilled Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team in Farmingville, NY. This is a hands-on role where you'll play a critical part in keeping homes and businesses safe by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting alarm and security systems. Responsibilities

• Install, program, and configure residential and commercial alarm and security systems

Requirements

• Prior experience installing or servicing alarm, fire, or security systems preferred
• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring, control panels, and intrusion detection systems
• NYS Alarm Installer License or ability to obtain one is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule
