Job summary

GSS Clean Up & Restoration Inc in Glendora, CA is seeking a skilled Mitigation Technician to perform water, fire, and mold mitigation on residential and commercial properties. This role involves setting up drying equipment and communicating with homeowners and insurers throughout the restoration process.

You will follow IICRC standards, operate moisture meters and thermal cameras, respond to after-hours calls, and work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment to help clients recover after damage.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in water damage mitigation or restoration preferred.
• Knowledge of IICRC guidelines and restoration best practices.
• Ability to operate drying equipment, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform water, fire, and mold mitigation and remediation services on residential and commercial properties.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air scrubbers.
• Conduct moisture readings and document damage using industry-standard tools and software.
• Perform controlled demolition including removal of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• Communicate professionally with property owners and insurance adjusters throughout the restoration process.
• Follow IICRC standards and safety protocols on every job site.
• Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekend assignments as needed.
