Phoenix Aba Therapy Llc in Wayne, PA is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide ABA-based interventions for children on the autism spectrum. You will implement behavior intervention plans, teach daily living and social skills, and support families in a collaborative setting.

Under the supervision of a BCBA and classroom teacher, you will deliver academic and communication programs, assist with behavior management, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • RBT certification is required.
  • Experience working with children, particularly on the autism spectrum.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
  • Familiarity with patient care practices and behavior management strategies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding medical records and adhere to HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
  • A background in special education or related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to move from a seated position on the floor to standing easily; able to run with students; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

  • Implement individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans plans under the supervision of the classroom teacher and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, focusing on improving social skills, communication, and daily living activities (ADLs), including toileting needs.
  • Implement academic and communication programs under the guidance of the classroom teacher and BCBA.
  • Assist clients with behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Implement de-escalation strategies during crisis situations.
  • Collect ongoing data.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to develop care plans that align with the client’s needs and goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to special education and applied behavior analysis.
  • Monitor client progress and report findings to the supervising BCBA for adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Hours follow the school calendar from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm.
