Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions seeks an Underwriting Specialist to join our Technology team, remotely in the southeastern United States. You will underwrite and manage a book of highly complex, specialty accounts within broad authority, contributing to growth and profitability for the assigned territory.

You will partner with producers and cross-functional teams, handle new business and large accounts, and mentor less experienced underwriters as part of a robust underwriting program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of Life Science underwriting experience.
• Professional insurance designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes opportunities for underwriting profitable new and renewal business based on market conditions.
• Underwrites a book of business and manages underwriting quality and book management.
• Develops superior relationships with producers to promote growth and profitability.
