Job summary

University of Wyoming is seeking a Licensing Manager to identify, evaluate, market, and commercialize research inventions. You will develop marketing plans, reach out to potential licensees, negotiate licenses and agreements, and work with IP attorneys to protect intellectual property.

This on-campus role requires collaboration with researchers, faculty, and industry partners to maximize the impact of university innovations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; 3-5 years relevant experience preferred.
• Strong patent, IP, and contract knowledge helpful.
• Valid driver's license with MVR as required by university.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships across the University to promote technology commercialization.
• Evaluate invention disclosures and assess market potential for commercialization.
• Manage invention portfolio and coordinate patent protection with attorneys.
• Develop and implement commercialization plans and license strategies.
• Negotiate license terms, options, and related agreements.
• Support research offices and prepare reports for governance bodies.
• Lead outreach and marketing activities for technology transfer.
