Qualifications:

New York State Certification as a Technology teacher.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Create and deliver lessons grounded in researched best practices, current formative data, and specially designed instruction.
  2. Possess knowledge of engineering and home repair.
  3. Individualize learning experiences, create flexible groupings, and observe and evaluate students’ performance to meet grade-level standards.
  4. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans, making learning targets clear for students.
  5. Manage student behavior using appropriate disciplinary techniques.
  6. Meet course, grade level, and district performance goals.
  7. Create a positive educational environment that promotes growth and success for students of all abilities.
  8. Utilize curricula that reflect the diversity of students’ educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
  9. Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current on educational topics.
  10. Collaborate with administrators, department chairs, and colleagues to foster a positive work environment focused on student achievement.
  11. Develop and utilize various curriculum resources and participate in curriculum development and modification sessions.
