Overview: The Lancaster Central School District is searching for an innovative, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to serve our District as Technology teacher at William Street School.

New York State Certification as a Technology teacher.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Create and deliver lessons grounded in researched best practice, current formative data, and specially designed instruction.
  2. Individualize learning experiences, as appropriate, create flexible grouping for learning experiences. Observe and evaluate students’ performance in meeting grade level standards.
  3. Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans, making learning targets clear with students for each lesson as appropriate.
  4. Manage student behavior in the classroom with appropriate disciplinary techniques.
  5. Meet course, grade level, and district performance goals.
  6. Create a positive educational environment for students to learn, grow, and promote success for students of all abilities.
  7. Utilize curriculum that reflects the diversity of educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students being served.
  8. Participate in ongoing professional development and stay abreast of current topics in education.
  9. Work collaboratively with administrators, department chairs, and colleagues to create a positive work environment that promotes student achievement.
  10. Develop and utilize various curriculum resources and participate in curriculum writing/modification sessions.
