Job summary

George Washington Carver Academy is seeking a passionate Full-Time Technology Teacher to empower students with digital skills and critical thinking. You will design technology-centered lessons, including coding, robotics, and media literacy, while fostering a collaborative learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement and demonstrates strong communication and organizational abilities to support student growth and school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Education, or related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technology-focused lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach digital literacy, typing, coding, robotics, online safety, and media literacy.
• Assess student learning and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with staff and participate in professional development, meetings, and school events.
• Maintain classroom technology, resources, and a safe, positive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
