JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a DevOps/Platform engineer to resolve user and tech issues, maintain cloud-based Linux/Java applications, and deploy into production environments.
The role emphasizes incident management, DevOps practices, and collaboration with development and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, secure systems.
Duties: Responsible for the resolution of all user and technology issues. Support and maintain various Linux and Java RDBMS based applications on cloud platform. Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs that are scheduled in Control-M and Autosys. Coordinate and execute all software deployments into the production environment. Liaise with application development and infrastructure teams for ongoing development, production activity and release management. Maintain responsibility for major production incidents and work closely with other technology teams to resolve business-impacting issues. Proactively improve the quality of systems and services and increase business value. Apply DevOps practices to the entire software development life cycle and build, evolve, and operate rapidly changing resilient systems at scale. Manage the relationship between the operational users and the technology department through service review meetings and serving as a key point of escalation for technology issues or concerns within the operational areas.
Minimum education and experience required: Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support, Software Developer, Application Development, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support, Software Developer, Application Development, or related occupation.
