Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) seeks a Technology Strategy Manager within the Transformation Practice to deliver advisory and implementation services across client organizations. You’ll work with senior leaders to shape strategies and roadmaps that align technology with business goals.

Expect up to 40% travel and a hybrid work model with in-person days. The role emphasizes leadership, executive communication, and building business cases, budgets, and financial models to support IT transformations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• MBA or MIS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Strategy Consulting.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills.
• Experience in the assessment of IT organizations – capability to strategy alignment, cost structure, and operating model.
• Experience in package selection, implementation planning and application architecture model development.
• Experience with strategic IT assessment, enterprise cloud assessments and roadmap development.
• Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 40%.
• Consistent with the firm’s hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least two days per week, either at a GT office or client site.

Responsibilities

• Perform advisory and implementation services to address business needs throughout client organizations for the Transformation Practice.
• Lead teams performing strategic assessments of client technology environments against best practices and maturity model frameworks.
• Develop thoughtful, value-add recommendations and roadmaps that meet client needs.
• Lead teams in the assessment of technology organizations; align capabilities to enterprise strategy, cost structure, and operating model.
• Create business cases and financial models to support IT transformations and process improvements.
• Coach and develop team members and demonstrate executive presence.
