Overview

The Strategic Vendor Relationship Manager is responsible for maximizing the value of PepsiCo's strategic technology partnerships by defining and executing vendor management activities that support business and transformation objectives. Serving as a key liaison between S&T teams and strategic partners, this role leads executive-level relationship management, drives resolution of critical vendor escalations, advances a co-innovation agenda that accelerates transformation, and ensures continuous improvement in vendor performance and value delivery. The role also provides strategic governance, performance oversight, and executive reporting to senior S&T leadership while driving measurable business outcomes, operational excellence, and innovation across the vendor ecosystem.

Responsibilities

The main accountabilities of this role are:

  • Manage strategic vendor relationships across S&T to ensure delivery of contracted services, achievement of performance objectives, and continuous improvement in service quality and value.
  • Partner with stakeholders to maximize value from vendor contracts by facilitating effective governance, performance management, and issue resolution.
  • Proactively manage vendor-related challenges and escalations, including cost, quality, staffing, delivery performance, change requests, and contractual disputes, while ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Collaborate across sectors and functions to identify opportunities for solution standardization, reuse, and alignment of vendor-supported capabilities.
  • Coordinate and support the execution of executive governance programs, including Top-to-Top (T2T) and Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs), ensuring timely planning, stakeholder engagement, and follow-through on commitments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with executive sponsors, governance leads, Procurement, and vendor leadership teams to support effective partnership management and governance outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards to provide visibility into vendor performance, value delivery, and improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain communication plans and governance cadences to ensure effective information sharing among leadership, stakeholders, and vendor partners.
  • Support co-innovation initiatives by tracking program metrics, coordinating activities, and reporting on outcomes and business value delivered.
  • Partner with Legal, Security, Compliance, and Procurement teams to support vendor risk management activities, audits, assessments, and compliance requirements.
  • Support productivity initiatives and generate ideas to ensure annual goals are met
  • Define and develop co-innovation program KPIs and ensure consistent reporting to key stakeholders
Compensation and Benefits
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.

  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in vendor relationship management, strategic sourcing, governance, contract management, risk management, and strategic planning, preferably within complex technology environments.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Governance, or related disciplines, with demonstrated experience supporting technology organizations.
  • Strong experience managing strategic supplier relationships, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management, value realization, and dispute resolution.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders and executives at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience leading executive-level vendor governance programs, including business reviews, performance reporting, scorecards, and strategic planning activities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex or ambiguous business needs into clear recommendations, requirements, and action plans.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing vendor-related financial, contractual, and operational performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex escalations, identify root causes, and drive resolution across multiple stakeholders and organizations.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, business reviews, and performance reports that drive informed decision-making.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience measuring and reporting vendor performance, customer satisfaction, productivity improvements, and value realization outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of vendor risk management, compliance, audit processes, and IT service management practices (ITIL preferred).
  • Self-motivated, results oriented leader with strong analytical skills, sound judgment and a commitment to delivering outcomes
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and geographical regions while fostering a culture of partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
