What You Will Do
- Draft patent applications for innovative clients, including descriptions and figures.
- Correspond with the patent office regarding pending patent applications.
- Advise patent litigation teams based on your technical and scientific expertise.
- Interview inventors to gather new invention ideas.
Who You Are
- Strong background and experience in video compression technologies.
- Experience with standard‑essential patents related to video coding standards such as MPEG, HEVC, AV1, etc. (preferred).
- Advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
- Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
- Registered with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 – $185,000, dependent on qualifications and experience.
