Job summary

Collin College is seeking a Technology Specialist (Part-time) to provide technical support to faculty, staff, students and external organizations at the Frisco campus. You will troubleshoot AV equipment, set up events, and help with hardware, software, and wireless access issues.

The role requires an associate degree and 3 years of related work experience, or a high school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience.

## Technology Specialist (Part-time)Apply: Frisco Campus: Part time: Posted Yesterday: End Date: October 5, 2026 (12 days left to apply): R-8251**Primary Location:**9700 Wade Boulevard, Frisco, Texas, 75035We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.**Job Summary:**Provide technical support, services and training to faculty, staff, students and outside organizations for software, hardware, peripherals and audio-visual equipment.**Required Qualifications:****Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Provide technical support and services to the college community ensuring all classes, equipment and community events (both on and off Collin College campuses) run efficiently.* Assist students, faculty, staff and vendors with all computer, Internet, wireless access, and media issues. Troubleshoot hardware, software and audio-visual problems.* Facilitate conference center/campus events by setting up, running, and tearing down audio-visual equipment.* Setup, install, image and maintain all associated equipment in assigned areas of responsibility.* Monitor emerging technologies, develop specifications and make recommendations for necessary acquisitions of new equipment.* Integrate new technologies into existing structure of classrooms, offices and conference centers.* Maintain accurate records on software, hardware, equipment utilization and problems.* Maintain familiarity with and ensure compliance with district policies and Technology Services standard operating procedures to ensure copyright laws are not violated.* Support all faculty, staff, and college owned student computers, including installation, imaging, and troubleshooting.* Properly document all tickets in ticketing system.
