Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with TCP/IP, operating systems, alarm systems, CCTV/video surveillance, and related electronic security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem identification, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Puerto Rico as required.
  • Availability to provide after-hours support, including weekends and holidays, as part of the company’s on-call rotation/program.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Summary:

Configuration, installation, and functional testing of electronic security equipment. Provide technical support to internal and external customers with new system configurations and equipment failures to ensure optimal performance and functionality. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and support of cybersecurity systems.

  • Configure and manage applications and software related to electronic security systems.
  • Configure, install, administer, and support electronic security and network equipment, including alarm panels, video analytics servers, video management systems, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), access control servers and panels, servers, PCs, point-to-point antennas, wireless networks, switches, and routers across LAN and WAN environments and ISP connectivity.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot operating systems, including Windows for PCs, Windows Server, and other applicable platforms.
  • Provide technical support for electronic security technologies and solutions from vendors such as March Networks, Avigilon, Genetec, RISCO, Honeywell, PACOM, Bosch, Epcom, FLIR, Infinova, SightLogix, Dell, HP, Paessler PRTG, Ubiquiti, Visonic, BOLD Manitou, and other related platforms and technologies.
  • Configure, reconfigure, upgrade, and troubleshoot equipment, including the replacement or installation of hard drives, memory, network interface cards (NICs), video controllers, and other internal or external hardware components.
  • Provide basic support for cybersecurity technologies and solutions, including Absolute, Palo Alto Networks, Commvault Metallic, KnowBe4, RSA, and other applicable cybersecurity products.
  • Design and support wired and wireless network infrastructure for electronic security systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network, connectivity, hardware, software, and electronic security equipment issues.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers for new installations, configurations, system maintenance, and equipment-related issues.
  • Provide remote technical support to field technicians and other technical personnel.
  • Utilize and support various software platforms and systems, including Paessler PRTG, BOLD Manitou, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and software associated with the electronic security and network technologies listed above.
  • Perform other related technical duties as required to support the proper operation and functionality of electronic security, network, and cybersecurity systems.

Minimum Requirements: Education and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with one or more of the following: TCP/IP protocols, operating systems, alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance systems, and related electronic security technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem identification, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, versatile, and able to manage multiple technical responsibilities and priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Puerto Rico as required.
  • Availability to provide after-hours support, including weekends and holidays, as part of the company’s on-call rotation/program.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
Non-Essential Requirements / Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or another technology-related field is preferred.
  • Network+, CompTIA A+, Security+, or other relevant industry certifications are considered a plus.
  • Additional education, training, or certifications related to networking, electronic security systems, cybersecurity, or information technology are desirable.
