Job summary

Columbia Gorge Education Service District in Oregon seeks a Director of Technology Services to provide executive leadership over technology infrastructure, instructional tech, cybersecurity, data governance, and regional initiatives.

Reporting to the Superintendent, you will guide capital planning, oversee budgets, manage E-Rate programs, and coordinate with component districts to align Local Service Plan priorities while ensuring equity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of five years in enterprise IT infrastructure management, systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, or educational technology operations.
• Proven leadership in executive strategic planning, supervising technology personnel, managing budgets, vendor/procurement contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational implementation of the Technology Department.
• Drive strategic application of information and instructional technology across offices, schools, and classrooms.
• Supervise and develop Technology Department personnel and manage budgets.
• Develop and monitor multi-year technology replacement and capital improvement plans.
• Direct district E‑Rate program and federal technology grants.
• Oversee enterprise information security governance and data privacy programs.
