Job summary

Columbia Gorge Education Service District is seeking a Director of Technology Services to provide executive leadership for the district's technology infrastructure, instructional tech, cybersecurity, and regional initiatives. The role reports to the Superintendent and guides a comprehensive technology vision across classrooms and offices.

The position oversees budgeting, capital planning, E-Rate programs, and data governance, with after-hours and emergency response as part of the exempt

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading technology services in educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and IT risk management.
• Ability to manage budgets, grants (E-Rate), and regional tech initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Leads strategic and operational oversight of CGESD Technology Department and regional initiatives.
• Directs budgeting, capital planning, and procurement for technology assets.
• Manages enterprise networking, data security, cloud environments, and SIS/ERP systems.
• Coordinates training and professional development for department staff and stakeholders.
• Negotiates vendor contracts and ensures compliance with district procurement policies.
