Suburban Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician - Technology to repair and service a wide range of low voltage systems. You will diagnose issues, upgrade systems, and manage parts inventory while supporting software installations and updates.

The role emphasizes customer communication and problem solving, requiring travel up to 25% and NFPA70E/NEC knowledge. Team members may operate company vehicles and must maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years’ experience with electronics and/or low voltage systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain shortly after start date.
• NFPA70E training.
• May drive a company vehicle; valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
• Understands computer systems and network devices.
• Understands mechanical functionality of equipment.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E and NEC/ NFPA codes as applied to equipment and work environment.
• Advanced power tool utilization.
• Advanced data and security device knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot processes and systems.
• Able to read and respond to customer reactions; strong communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assists with maintaining customer relationships based on dependability and honesty.
• Functions across building types; follows GMPs and safety requirements.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements and ordering components.
• Reviews work orders and technical data for efficient service and installations.
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment on CCTV, Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, Card Access, Paging and other systems.
