Job summary

  • Own the procurement process and execution.
  • Coordinate on-time execution of technology deliverables.

  • Oversee installation efforts with contractors.
  • Monitor and track project progress; provide weekly reports.
  • Collect technology asset details for CMDB registration.
  • Coordinate technology requirements with move planners.
  • Review and certify completed work for payments.
  • Provide cash flow forecasts for vendors.
  • Facilitate end-user training and close contracts.
  • Compile and submit a project closure report.

Job description

Job Title: Technology Project Manager

Provides professional technology project management experience to designated projects and assignments at client sites, campuses, and facilities. The role focuses on IT coordination and project management activities, primarily involving network, cabling, IT rooms, A/V, security, and other low‑voltage components.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and detail project technology requirements aligned to project objectives, creating a scope document for the design team.
  • Coordinate with the Lead Project PM to consolidate technology cost tracking into the main budget tracker and rebalance key milestones.
  • Ensure all relevant technology activities are detailed and maintained in the Master program; coordinate procurement of technology‑related activities.
  • Report weekly to the Lead Project Manager on scope, cost, schedule, risk, and procurement issues for all projects.
  • Represent the technology workstream at weekly project meetings, collaborating with client technology teams, stakeholders, and business unit teams.
  • Conduct site audits to provide requirements to the client technology team for structured cabling, IT rooms, AV/VC, workstation technology, and related services.
  • Participate in value engineering workshops to review budgets and identify risks, maintaining a risk register.
  • Own the procurement process, providing on‑site intelligence and coordinating execution by the client technology team.
  • Coordinate and ensure the on‑time execution of all technology deliverables, working with designers, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Register all IT/project‑related risks and issues with the client technology team and Lead Project Manager for mitigation.
  • Oversee installation efforts, supporting the Lead Project Manager in coordination with the general contractor and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track progress; provide weekly reports as requested by the Lead Project Manager and client technology team.
  • Collect technology asset details from contractors for registration in the CMDB and network.
  • Coordinate with move planners and change teams on technology requirements, ensuring timely UAT and transition to BAU ownership.
  • Review and certify completed work; provide recommendations to the Lead Project Manager for payment.
  • Provide cash flow forecasts for technology vendors and ensure proper documentation of as‑built information and code submission.
  • Facilitate end‑user training and coordinate the closure of all systems and sign‑off on snag lists.
  • Close remaining contracts for consultants and vendors, ensuring all final accounts are processed.
  • Compile and submit a project closure report to the Lead Project Manager.

Education
