Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in computer science and/or software development with at least one year of college completed preferred.
• Experience with C#/.NET or Java/C++ is beneficial.
• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries/frameworks and MS Office tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Development team in various phases of development and with the maintenance of multiple products and systems.
• Implement short-cycle development tasks.
• Develop understanding of unit testing and CI practices.
• Work closely with Development team to follow coding and core development concepts.
• Document clearly and effectively within code.

What You'll Be Doing

Stifel's Technology Product Development department works to transform our digital technology for advisors in order to strengthen client bonds. The Technology Product Developer Intern will Assist the Development team in various phases of development, including design, implementation, integration, revision control, release and the maintenance of multiple products and systems.

What We're Looking For

• Assist the Development team in various phases of development and with the maintenance of multiple products and systems.
• Implement short-cycle development tasks.
• Develop understanding of unit testing and continuous integration practices.
• Work closely with Development team to understand and follow Stifel's coding and core development concepts.
• Document clearly and effectively within code.
• Learn from and participate with more experienced developers for complex developmental tasks.

• Ability to collaborate with a team using knowledge of appropriate development environments.
• Ability to resolve problems, basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Displays awareness of the impact of actions on the product or feature and acts in line with it.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Pursuing a degree in computer science and/or software development with at least one year of college completed preferred.
  
  

Systems & Technology

• Experience in C#/.NET, or relevant Java/C++ or equivalent relational database systems.
• Experience with JavaScript Libraries/Frameworks (Angular, jQuery).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
