Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP seeks a Technology Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of technology initiatives across Core IT, accounting, marketing, HR, and more. You will drive projects from initiation to closure, manage scope, budget, and risks, and lead cross-functional teams including vendors and solution architects.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with experience in governance, and familiarity with ERP, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum four years of project management experience, with at least two years on technology projects.
• Experience using MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Planview, or similar tools.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams of technical and business stakeholders.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage technology projects from initiation through closure within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Partner with IT, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure successful delivery and alignment with objectives.
• Develop and maintain project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, risk assessments, and governance materials.
• Facilitate project governance activities, including gate reviews and status updates to IT Directors and sponsors.
• Monitor scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and resources; resolve blockers.
• Prepare regular reports on portfolio status, budgets, and mitigation strategies for leadership.
• Coordinate resources across multiple initiatives and resolve conflicts related to priorities.
• Facilitate communication among teams and leadership to maintain alignment throughout the lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and best practices.
• Support change management and user adoption for assigned projects.
