Job summary

QTS Data Centers in Phoenix offers a Technology Optimization Intern role, delivering hands-on experience in optimizing a data center environment and supporting day-to-day tech team activities. You will help maintain budgets and schedules, develop scopes of work for design and commissioning, and collaborate on procurement processes while gaining exposure to real projects across the data center lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, STEM, Data Science, HR, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Technology team with day-to-day activities.
• Maintain budgets, schedules, and status reports for projects.
• Develop scopes of work for design, configuration, and commissioning services.
• Work on technology procurement and delivery processes with procurement team.
• Monitor status and availability of in-production technologies.
• Help disposition legacy assets.
• Perform fact finding for major projects.
• Assist with decoupling components of data centers.
