Job summary

Netpace Inc. seeks aTechnology Manager to design and supervise technology systems for residential and commercial buildings in the San Diego area. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, technicians, and interns, and manage projects from concept through construction.

The role requires strong knowledge of electrical design fundamentals, cabling, security, and AV systems. You will collaborate with clients, prepare design basis, and ensure documentation meets relevant codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent 10 years of experience
• RCDD Certification required
• Licensed to drive in California (CA)

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineers, designers, technicians, and interns.
• Plan project schedules and staffing requirements.
• Manage client relationships and retention.
• Lead projects from concept to construction.
• Attend client meetings and take notes.
• Attend job site walks to assess conditions.
• Produce basis of design documentation.
• Prepare technical specifications.
• Ensure understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Read and interpret construction drawings.
• Design structured cabling (OSP/ISP, fiber, copper, racks).
• Design security systems (CCTV, access).
• Design AV systems (paging, PA, nurse call, CATV).
• Stamp and sign drawings per RCDD certification.
• Provide responses to RFIs and submittals.
• Perform engineering tasks with sound judgment.
• Climb ladders and survey construction sites.
• Other assigned tasks.
