Job Summary

The Software Technology Lead position reports to the VP, Product Development, and is responsible for the development and support of applications leveraging expertise and knowledge of multiple systems/customer areas to help build a robust, scalable, and reliable platform. You will be part of an experienced engineering team working on challenging topics. The ideal candidate will balance technology and people management skills, have a keen desire to understand our products deeply, and own the full delivery of the product.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the entire development lifecycle of solutions and oversee complex projects with significant impact.
2. Collaborate with product managers to develop strategies and roadmaps for product capabilities.
3. Work with senior engineers to design technical approaches for new products.
4. Promote best practices in software development, documentation, and design quality.
5. Handle project management tasks including prioritization, planning, stakeholder management, and tracking commitments.
6. Translate business needs into technical solutions, recommend approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet deadlines.
7. Monitor and operate production services to ensure operational excellence.
8. Bring innovative ideas daily to improve customer objectives and set measurable, quality goals.
9. Fully own the delivery of the product.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience.
2. 7+ years of software development experience; 3+ years leading engineering teams.
3. Hands-on expertise in web and mobile technologies.
4. Strong background in software design patterns and data structures.
5. Experience building scalable web services and applications.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Knowledge of full software development lifecycle practices.
8. Technical expertise in:

• Front-end: VueJS
• PHP and Laravel frameworks
• Cloud services (preferably AWS)
• System architecture patterns
• SQL databases (preferably MySQL)
• Data management principles
• Payment technologies (preferably Stripe)
