A leading technology consulting firm is seeking a Technology Lead – Java/J2EE in Hartford, CT. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience in the software development life cycle, design and architecture review, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience in the healthcare domain and web services is preferred. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

Basic

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology.

Preferred

• At least 4 years of experience in Java/J2EE Technology and Frameworks.
• At least 4+ years of experience with Java/J2EE technologies.
• At least 4 years of working experience on different J2EE frameworks like Struts, Spring MVC, etc.
• At least 4 years of experience in development tools like Eclipse, WebSphere application server, etc.
• At least 4 years of experience in software development life cycle.
• At least 4 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• At least 4 years of experience in Design and architecture review.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Analytical skills to identify root cause and come up with solutions/alternatives.
• Experience in HealthCare domain.
• Hands on experience on Web Services – SOAP and/or RESTful.
• Experience in any of the Database, writing queries/procedures like DB2/Oracle/SQL Server, etc.
• Experience in Waterfall and Agile projects.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
