Job summary

Optiver in Chicago is seeking a Technology Educator to raise the quality of engineers across the firm. You will design interview assessments, create training for interns, graduates and experienced hires, and embed AI and software practices into training and assessments.

Collaborating with engineers, recruiters and educators globally, you’ll shape curricula, measure outcomes, and grow the Education function to continuously improve engineering talent at Optiver.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience with strong technical depth.
• Experience mentoring, teaching, coaching, or developing other engineers.
• Excellent communication to explain complex concepts at all levels.
• Passion for developing technical talent and engaging learning experiences.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-team partnership.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical interview assessments for consistent, high-quality hiring.
• Develop and run technical training for interns, graduates, and experienced hires.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new practices into training and assessments.
• Partner with engineering and recruiting to connect hiring to on-the-job performance.
• Improve curricula through performance analysis and feedback.
• Grow the Education function by identifying opportunities to improve engineer quality.
