CNBC is seeking an experienced multi-platform Tech Editor to help lead and shape our coverage of the technology industry across platforms. This editor will work closely with reporters, digital teams, video producers and television editors to deliver fast, authoritative coverage of one of the most important sectors in business.
The Tech Editor will be a strong editor of words and ideas, helping reporters sharpen stories, develop distinctive angles and produce coverage that stands out in a crowded tech news landscape. The role requires sharp news judgment and the ability to balance breaking news with ambitious enterprise reporting on the companies, people and trends shaping the industry.
This editor should thrive in a collaborative newsroom and be able to identify opportunities to tell stories across formats—bringing together reporting, video, graphics and television segments to create compelling coverage for CNBC’s audience.
The ideal candidate is a strong generator of story ideas and an experienced newsroom leader who can manage reporters, set priorities and maintain high editorial standards in a fast-paced environment.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $160,000–$190,000.
