Overview
Join a forward-thinking firm specializing in the design and construction administration of structured cabling systems and low voltage technology infrastructure. This role supports a wide range of sectors including data centers, healthcare, and commercial developments. Ideal for a motivated designer with RCDD credentials and a passion for cutting-edge systems integration.
Responsibilities
Design and oversee structured cabling systems from planning to completion
Apply BICSI standards and industry best practices in all design efforts
Participate in and lead meetings with clients, architects, and engineers
Translate client needs into functional, budget-conscious system designs
Coordinate cross-discipline design and pricing with internal teams
Provide engineering support throughout project lifecycle
Develop detailed cabinet layouts, rack elevations, and jack-field layouts
Review and contribute to project cost estimates
Communicate design issues and solutions to stakeholders
Qualify and coordinate with vendors on product integration
Maintain continuous quality and consistency in design deliverables
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) required
BICSI DCDC Preferred But Not Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 5 Years Of Related Experience Preferred
Proficient in EIA/TIA, BICSI, IEEE, and NFPA standards
Experience with CSI format specifications
Strong background in data center design OR Government projects
Familiarity with building automation and power management systems
Ability to work remotely and coordinate across multiple geographies
Skilled in Bluebeam, Excel, and Revit (Revit required)
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset
Confident in client interviews and technical presentations
Day-to-day
Lead structured cabling design efforts across multiple sectors
Attend project meetings and engage directly with clients
Coordinate design documentation with internal and external teams
Continuously support project development from concept through construction
Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders
