Job summary

American Electric Power in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a Delivery Leader to shape how technology delivery is carried out across the enterprise. This role goes beyond traditional project management—defining delivery practices, governance, and performance frameworks to drive consistency and predictability.

You will partner with Technology leadership to establish enterprise standards, coach PMs, and embed standardized practices into day-to-day delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in project/program management for complex technology initiatives.
  • Experience defining or scaling delivery methodologies, PMO standards, or SDLC practices.
  • Strong ability to establish metrics, dashboards, and performance tracking frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Define & Standardize Delivery Practices across the enterprise, including SDLC governance and lifecycle management.
  • Drive Adoption Across Technology Teams by coaching PMs and delivery teams on disciplined execution.
  • Measure & Track Delivery Performance with enterprise KPIs and reporting to enable portfolio transparency.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to inform prioritization, planning, and resource allocation.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement by assessing delivery maturity and implementing scalable improvements.
