EPAM is looking for a Technology Consulting Principle/ Applied AI Consultant to join our team and help clients turn AI ambition into real, adopted change. In this client-facing role, you'll partner directly with customer organizations to understand how they work today, uncover where agentic AI can create meaningful value, and lead the people-side work required to make that value stick. This is a great opportunity for a consultant who enjoys being on the ground with clients — leading relationships, mapping processes, and coaching teams through change — rather than working on AI strategy from behind a desk.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements and stakeholder alignment: Serve as the primary business point of contact and trusted advisor, aligning stakeholders on transformation goals, priorities, scope, and expected outcomes
- Assess current processes and AI readiness: Map business workflows, decision points, roles, systems, and data dependencies to establish a shared understanding of current operations and existing automation and AI capabilities
- Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities: Surface inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and unmet needs; prioritize opportunities based on business value, feasibility, and organizational readiness
- Translate business needs into AI use cases: Define actionable AI and agentic solution opportunities, including requirements, success criteria, human oversight, and implications for how work gets done
- Design future ways of working: Partner with architects, engineers, and delivery teams to redesign workflows, clarify human and agent responsibilities, and validate solutions through focused pilots
- Drive education, adoption, and behavior change: Lead stakeholder engagement, role-based education, coaching, and change initiatives that embed AI into everyday work and build sustained usage
- Measure adoption and business impact: Establish baselines and track individual, team, and process-level outcomes—including productivity, quality, cycle time, and adoption—to demonstrate value and guide improvements
- Strengthen delivery and continuous improvement: Improve Agile practices across client and internal teams, using feedback and performance data to refine solutions and scale proven approaches
- Build and validate AI workflow prototypes: Use AI assistants, prompt design, and low-code agent tools to create working prototypes grounded in client processes and representative data. Test feasibility, demonstrate potential value, and translate findings into requirements for FDEs and AI engineers
- Evaluate and refine AI performance: Develop business scenarios and evaluation criteria; test AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, and usefulness; refine prompts, instructions, and supporting knowledge; and identify where human review or escalation is required
Requirements
- 4+ years of consulting, business transformation, or client-facing advisory experience (7+ years, including independently leading engagements, for senior-level candidates)
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML or agentic AI solutions to solve real business problems
- Strong working knowledge of Agile practices and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Hands-on experience mapping, analyzing, and redesigning business processes
- Proven track record leading organizational change management and driving technology adoption
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills
- Ability to define, implement, and track performance metrics and KPIs
- Comfortable operating directly with clients in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
