Advisory Senior Consultant, Payments Testing

Your Key Responsibilities

Provide expert testing advice, solve complex problems, and serve as a high-profile contact for resolving issues. Develop your knowledge to become a credible advisor influencing clients and engagement teams, impacting entire industries.

Skills and attributes for success

• Define test strategies, plans, and quality assurance for large projects
• Facilitate Integration testing, UAT, and end-to-end testing with business teams
• Deep experience in Banking and Capital Markets functions
• Leadership in management consulting and transformation projects
• Share knowledge, develop tools, and build practice capability
• Develop client relationships and support sales
• Approachable, proactive, and eager to learn
• Design testing frameworks for payment systems, ensuring compliance
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Finance, or related; ~5 years relevant experience
• Strong collaboration skills in diverse environments
• Experience with Money Movement services (ACH, Wire, RTP, EFT)
• Understanding of ISO 20022 standards and message formats
• Experience testing payment hubs (PEGA, Fiserv, FIS)
• Domain expertise in banking payments
• Design and execute ISO 20022 test cases across various payment networks
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance
• Familiarity with test case tools (JIRA, ALM, etc.)
• Strong analytical, communication skills, and Agile familiarity

Preferred qualifications

• 3+ years in financial services or consulting
• Experience with ETL testing, APIs, automation tools (Selenium, JMeter)
• Knowledge of XML, JSON, and test reporting
• Interest in cloud and AI technologies
