Noblis seeks a communications-focused professional to develop and edit a wide range of materials for DHS programs and leadership. You will craft concise, plain-language content, support strategic messaging, and produce artifacts across reports, briefings, and digital media.
The role requires onsite work at the DHS site in Washington, DC, with potential travel within the National Capital Region. A Master’s degree and extensive relevant experience are preferred.

At DHS, our team supports the Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate’s development, acquisition, and deployment of new technologies across a variety of technological domains. Sharing our successes and educating stakeholders and the public is key to effectively communicating the organization’s progress.
This position offers opportunities to manage and participate in the development, preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical and non-technical communications products. You will develop and review products for internal and external audiences including, but not limited to briefing decks, feature articles, fact sheets, reports, strategic plans, Congressional and senior executive briefs, internal training materials, processes, and program artifacts. A successful candidate will think strategically, make connections with internal and external stakeholders, write compelling material to effectively promote S&T’s work, create dynamic artifacts in a variety of media, and review and edit program management and communications products to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational standards. The position works closely with the senior leadership team to shape strategic messaging and themes that will be shared across DHS, with other agencies, and with the general public.
This position requires staff to be in-person at the DHS client site in Washington, DC (Anacostia metro station) and at additional locations in the National Capital Region as needed in accordance with the requirements of the contract up to five (5) days per week. Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionally adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
